Today's Beautiful Gem: `All this world waits for you!' by M. Udayakala.

"Where is that land which you promised?
Where is that land of beauty and plenty?

That land which is
free from this
ugliness and hunger--

Where is that land and when will you take us there?
Is it now or is it never?

"Where is that book which you promised?
Where is that book of knowledge and love?

That book which
will end all
ignorance and hatred--

Has it been written and has it seen light?
Will it ever or will it never?

"So many men trod this Earth,
Yes, they too spoke like you;
But they didn't take us there--
We were left on these roads
Gazing at these their books
Full of many half-truths,
Full of many false hopes.

"Will you too toe their line?
Will you too leave us here?
I hope not, don't do so,
All this world waits for you!"
