|     "O Rama! adorned with countless good qualities,
|       O Rama! desired by the daughter of Earth,
|       O Rama! handsome like the full moon,
|       O Rama! gone to the forest to obey the command of your father,
|       O Rama! greeted by dear Guha,
|       O Rama! with your tender feet washed,
|       O Rama! joy-giver to sage Bharadvaaja,
|       O Rama! having abode on the top of Mount Chitrakuta,
|       O Rama! always remembering the dead Dasaratha,
|       O Rama! begged to return by Kaikeyi's son,
|       O Rama! performer of father's last rites,
|       O Rama! presented your sandals to Bharata,
|       O Rama! salutations to you!"

|
|     "O Rama! sanctifier of the Dandaka forest,
|       O Rama! destroyer the evil Viraadha,
|       O Rama! blessed by the sages Sarabhanga and Sutikshna,
|       O Rama! enhanced by Agastya's kindness,
|       O Rama! worshipped by the King of eagles,
|       O Rama! residing at the Five-banyan trees,
|       O Rama! humbled the she-demon Surpanakha,
|       O Rama! made Khara and Dushana faceless,
|       O Rama! went in search of the deer to please Sita,
|       O Rama! shooting Maricha with your arrows,
|       O Rama! in search of lost Sita,
|       O Rama! comforting the dying Jataayu,
|       O Rama! consuming the fruits offered by Sabari,
|       O Rama! severer of the limbs of Kabandha,
|       O Rama! salutations to you!"
