Today's Beautiful Gem: "I awake at two a.m.!" by M. Udayakala.

"The night is crystallising silence,
The moon is crystallising love,
The stars are crystallising peace!

"The world outside is sleeping,
The family inside is sleeping,
But I am not, I awake at two a.m.!

"The past is trying to cage me,
The future is trying to catch me,
The present is holding me with a slender thread!

"Between one life and another is death,
Between one death and another is life,
Death may be destiny, but life is love!

"I may discuss with myself, I may talk to myself,
But at this hour, they are conversations with Him,
I cannot lie to myself as I'll be lying to Him!

"The birds are singing in the crimson eastern sky,
I too get up with others; they slept, but I didn't!
I talked with Him and confessed to Him, but they didn't!"
