Today's Beautiful Gem: "Live to love, and love to live" by M. Udayakala.

"On a beautiful spring day, when the air outside is crisp and cool,
when the day is bright, when the sky above is a sheet of blue,
when your child invites you for a ball game,
do not say `Sorry, I have work up to my neck.'
Beautiful spring days are rare, and rarer still are occasions
to be together with your child.
When you have no work and have free time, the day may not be bright
and beautiful, and more important, your child may not invite you.

"On a beautiful summer day, when the air outside is warm and brisk,
when the day is sunny, when the sea before you is a sheet of blue,
when your spouse invites you for a stroll on the beach,
do not say, `Sorry, I have work up to my neck.'
Warm and nice summer days are rare, and rarer still are occasions
to be together with your spouse.
When you have no work and have free time, the day may not be bright
and brisk, and more important, your spouse may have other interests.

"On a beautiful autumn day, when the air outside is cold and clear,
when the day is windy, when the woods you see is a sheet of gold,
when your parent invites you for a family reunion,
do not say, `Sorry, I have work up to my neck.'
Crystal clear autumn days are rare, and rarer still are occasions
to be together with your parent.
When you have no work and have free time, the day may not be still
and moving, and more important, your parent may not even be there.

"Remember, each day is a discovery; remember, each night is a mystery;
Work is worship-- and so is love! live to love and love to live.
Yesterdays will never haunt you then,
and tomorrows will never worry you then.
He tends the gardens;
He plants the seeds;
He offers you the flowers;
You offer Him the fruits!"
