Subject: Another from Sajda: Kabhi Yun Bhi Aa ...

Hi ghazal lovers

Here is another ghazal from Sajda, by Jagjit Singh. Enjoy!

Poet : Bashir Badr

1. kabhi yun bhi aa meri ankh mein, ke meri nazar ko khabar na ho
mujhe ek raat nawaz de, magar uske baad saher na ho

[Sometimes, come into my eyes, in a way such that my eyesight does not realize it
Honor me with just one night, but let there be no dawn after that]

2. woh bada raheem-o-kareem hai, mujhe yeh sifat bhi ata kare
tujhe bhoolne ki dua karoon, to dua mein meri asar na ho

[He is kind and generous & he should gift me this talent/capability
If I pray that I should forget you, then there should be no effect from my prayers]

3. kabhi din ki dhoop mein jhoom ke, kabhi shab ke phool ko choom ke
yun hi saath saath chalen sada, kabhi khatam apna safar na ho

[Sometimes dancing in the daylight, sometimes kissing the night flowers
Like that we should always walk together, and our journey should never end]

4. mere paas mere habeeb aa, zara aur dil ke qareeb aa
tujhe dhadkanon mein basaloon main, ke bichhadne ka kabhie dar na ho

[Come close to me, my beloved, come closer to my heart
Let me place you close to my heartbeats, so that there will never be the fear of seperation]

Dictionary : nawaz - to honour; raheem-o-kareem - kind & generous; sifat - talent; shab - night; habeeb - beloved
